An appeal regarding the new ticket contingent: Please do _not_ click tickets for bots. Or your toaster, your fridges, or (insert any other IoT things here). Our capacity is limited and we would like to give priority to beings that pass the Turing Test. We will set up a small contingent for bots and, in the coming days, announce here how you can connect your toothbrush or remote-controlled telepresence robot.

To be honest, we didn’t expect this number of people willing to participate in #rC3 and subsequently clicking tickets. Especially since in the beginning many said »not just another video conference« or »nawh, online ain’t mine«. But obviously, rC3 was interesting enough to clear out our initial ticket contingent.

We bring you this message while hard at work with the digital build-up. Oldtimers among you might wonder where the Wiki is, when the “Fahrplan” (schedule) will be available and what you can already prepare with and for your assembly.

Please note: Streams are online available for everybody at media.ccc.de as always. You do NOT need a ticket to watch the streams. Tickets are only needed to access the rc3 world and participate outside of lectures.

Currently there are no tickets for rC3 available. We are really excited to see so many of you wanting to attend. As this event is volunteer-driven as always, resources are limited and this is all a big experiment.

This year, CCC hosts the Remote Chaos Experience (rC3).

Ticket sales for rC3 now has started. T-Shirts, Hoodies and Zippers should be ordered until December 6th.

Primarily, rC3 will take place on screens and displays. Various initiatives, hackspaces and living rooms distributed worldwide will create a joint program of streamed talks, online workshops, art and culture. Together, we will experiment with various forms of networked togetherness.

The Remote Chaos Experience (rC3) is about to start and the preparations are running at full speed. Since everything is a little different this year due to the pandemic, we unfortunately cannot rely on a “same procedure as last year”, but have to enter this “Neuland” spontaneously, creatively and sometimes chaotically.

This year, the year-end event of the Chaos Computer Club will take place in the digital space. This poses new challenges for us as Phone Operation Center. But those who know us will already know that a “challenge accepted” is part of good manners.
