Even though 40C3 is moving a few doors down the road, our ticket presale will work pretty much the same as last year:

We’ll again be using our system of replicating vouchers. The presale will run in two phases: the voucher phase and the open sale.
We’ll explain this as briefly as we can here. If you want to read more about it, we also have a documentation page available, where we’ll add more information in the coming days.

The voucher phase will run from 2026-10-23 10:00 (CEST) until 2026-11-10 23:00 (CET) and works as follows:

• There is a fixed quota for this phase. Once this quota is …

tl;dr: Register your assembly before 23 November 2026, 23:42 CET (UTC+0100) on the Hub.

A reboot does you good: this also and in particular applies to the assembly areas of the Chaos Communication Congress. The Hamburg exhibition halls offers more space for assemblies and projects — in contrast to the Congress Center. However, a bit of imagination is required to give this space that certain something. Help us make this space something very special.

Show the world what you do in your hackspaces and what moves you. Work together on projects, look for and find like-minded people, meet old and new …

The word is on the street: the Chaos Computer Club is hosting 40C3 from 27 to 30 December 2026 – Europe’s biggest hacker party, conference and platform for technology, society and civil liberties. We understand the Congress to be a huge shared stage and therefore invite you to help shape it. The Call for Participation for talks, the entertainment programme, art, punk and music opens today.

Everything is getting bigger, more colourful and more beautiful. Following our moving to the Hamburg Exhibition halls, there is once again plenty of space for creative ideas. Obviously, we want to make the …

tl;dr: The Congress is staying in Hamburg, but is moving from the CCH to the exhibition centre. With the extra space, we aim to reduce overcrowding and support a return to decentralisation. The best way for us to achieve this is if you form tribes and alliances and help us design the new spaces for 40C3.

An Introspection

Having already rocked eight Congresses together at the CCH, we have to face up to a few realities: the Congress has clearly outgrown the building. We can see this in the people who’d love to take part but can’t get a ticket, or – if they’ve managed to get hold of one – can’t …
