The MetaRheinMain ChaosDays is an annual congress, this year with a focus on journalism, society and technology, organized by c3f2m Frankfurt, CCCmz (Mainz/Wiesbaden), the campus group Chaos Darmstadt, the AK Vorrat and other regional groups in the Rhein-Main-Neckar area. The MRMCD will take place from September 5th to 7th at the Technische Universität Darmstadt.

In wenigen Wochen werden Hacker aus aller Welt zusammentreffen in der letzten Bastion unserer Unabhängigkeit – dem AKK. Und sie werden die größte GPN in der Geschichte der Hacker begehen. “Hacker”, ein Wort das uns heute allen von besonderer Bedeutung sein sollte. Bereits zum 5. Mal lädt der Chaos Computer Club Dresden zum Symposium Datenspuren. Diese Veranstaltung bietet ein Forum für emanzipierte Nutzer kommunizierender datenverarbeitender Maschinen mit dem Fokus auf Datenschutz. Sie dreht gesellschaftliche und technische Aspekte, Hintergründe, Spaß, Entwicklungen und Fehlentwicklungen, Nachdenken, Forderungen, Diskussionen und bewussten Umgang mit Technik vom Kopf auf die Füße und wieder zurück. Anders als die meisten chaosnahen Veranstaltungen richten sich die Datenspuren an ein weites Publikum fern und nah der nerdigen Subkultur.

Das Easterhegg ist das jährliche Familientreffen des Chaos Computer Clubs. Es findet vom 21. (Karfreitag) bis 24. März (Ostermontag) 2008 im Bürgerhaus Stollwerck in Köln statt.

Diese Veranstaltung ist als Workshopwochenende gedacht, deshalb liegt der Fokus auf praktischer und angewandter Wissensvermittlung zum Lernen und Mitmachen.

As stated in the Call for Participation we await your lecture proposals for the 23rd Chaos Communication Congress until September 15th. That is today. So don’t hold back any longer.

The 23rd Chaos Communication Congress will take place at the end of the year in Berlin. The Call for Participation was just published and asks to be read and redistributed on the appropriate channels.

Vom 03.08. – 08.08.2006 veranstaltet der Bits’n’Bugs e. V., auch als CCC Erlangen bekannt, zum dritten Mal die ICMP. Die ICMP ist ein kleines Camp mit Platz für 100 – 200 Teilnehmer und findet in Münchsteinach, der Gemeinde in der die Club-Mate gebraut wird, statt. An den 6 Tagen werden Vorträge und Workshops angeboten, auch eine Brauereibesichtigung und noch nicht näher genannte “Freizeit-Beschäftigungen” wird es geben. Es wird wieder versucht, ein kostenloses Frühstücksbuffet anzubieten und die Versorgung mit sehr günstigen und gekühlten Getränken sicherzustellen.
