Preparations for the 37th Chaos Communication Congress (37C3) in Hamburg are in full swing. In order to become part of the program presented on the lecture stages, hackers, technology freaks, hobbyists, artists and utopians with a sense of mission can now apply with their lecture ideas.

surely you have already been waiting. Here’s the info about the program that’ll be produced by the channels.

First things first: The opening of this year’s #rC3 is happening at 11:00am and will be broadcasted by ChaosWest-TV, FeM and xHain. The same channels will also host the Infrastructure Review on the last day of the event at 6:15pm. Directly followed by the closing, streamed by ChaosWest-TV and FeM.

Other than last year, this time we won’t have a main track. Instead, several independent channels will be producing the content of rC3.

We are happy to announce that together with our channels haecksen, xHain hack+makespace, CWTV, R3S, c-base, FeM, Chaosstudio Hamburg, ChaosZone TV, franconian.net, about:future / hackers against climate change München, gehacktes from hell and Sendezentrum, we created a shared schedule (v0.1 SOMETHING) for the rC3 NOWHERE.

TL;DR (de) Aufgrund der Vielzahl von Nachfragen zu einer Einreichung kurz nach der Deadline auf den verschiedenen Channels der rC3 2021 wird die Deadline auf Montag, 29. November 2021 um 23:42 Uhr in der Zeitzone Europe/Berlin verlängert. Die folgenden Channels freuen sich auf weitere Einreichungen.

Against all our expectations, wishes and dreams, there won’t be an in-person Congress again this year. But in all likelihood, it won’t be a fully remote Congress either. And it won’t be just a repeat of last year. It’s going to be a new de-centralized (remote) Congress, with local spaces hosting events and distributed stages.

The stages are managed by individual channels. Each channel has its own focus and Call for Participation.

Nach langer Suche haben wir einen Exoplanet mit habitabler Zone entdeckt. Erste Messungen lassen auf eine hohe Viruslast schließen. Eine bemannte Mission ist daher nicht durchführbar. Unser erstes Raumschiff ist zur Datenaufnahme unterwegs. Es werden noch weitere Raumschiffe mit Modulen für eine Bodenstation und Erkundungsrobotern folgen. Wer bei einem Patch an eine neue verbesserte Software-Version denkt, der hat natürlich recht. Aber was heißt Patch eigentlich noch? Im Englischen versteht man darunter auch ein Pflaster, ein Fetzen oder einen Flicken.
Mit Software verbinden wir Patches nur weil in der Computer Steinzeit Daten auf Loch- und später dann auch Magnetstreifen abgelegt wurden. Wenn jetzt etwas geändert werden soll dann müsste man einen Teil des Streifens herausschneiden und einen neuen einkleben – mit einem Fetzen Klebeband wurde das Band also geflickt.

Das Chaos Communication Camp ist das alle vier Jahre stattfindende Hacker-Treffen und die Open-Air-Hackerparty des Chaos Computer Clubs (CCC) in Mildenberg. An fünf Tagen im Brandenburgischen Hochsommer kommen tausende Hacker, Technikfreaks, Bastler, Künstler und Utopisten auf dem Camp-Gelände zusammen, um sich auszutauschen, voneinander zu lernen und miteinander zu feiern. Wir beschäftigen uns mit Themen rund um Informationstechnologie, Computersicherheit, Hacking, mit der Make- und Break-Szene, dem kritisch-schöpferischen Umgang mit Technologie und deren Auswirkungen auf unsere Gesellschaft. …

Für die fünfte „Das ist Netzpolitik!“-Konferenz, die am 21. September erstmals den ganzen Tag über in der Berliner Volksbühne stattfinden wird, hat der Vorverkauf begonnen.
Das diesjährige Motto lautet „inform | defend | attack“.
