Wer bei einem Patch an eine neue verbesserte Software-Version denkt, der hat natürlich recht. Aber was heißt Patch eigentlich noch? Im Englischen versteht man darunter auch ein Pflaster, ein Fetzen oder einen Flicken.
Mit Software verbinden wir Patches nur weil in der Computer Steinzeit Daten auf Loch- und später dann auch Magnetstreifen abgelegt wurden. Wenn jetzt etwas geändert werden soll dann müsste man einen Teil des Streifens herausschneiden und einen neuen einkleben – mit einem Fetzen Klebeband wurde das Band also geflickt.

Vom 1. bis 4. August 2019 wird in Überlingen am Bodensee das Technik Camp stattfinden.
Am 8. Juni wird es eine Begehung des Campgeländes im Ziegeleipark Mildenberg geben. Für alle, die sich nicht mehr genau an das Terrain erinnern können oder noch nie dort waren, gibt es die Gelegenheit, das Gelände zu besichtigen, nach guten Plätzen für eure Villages zu suchen und Fragen zu stellen, die wir hoffentlich klären können. The Chaos Communication Camp in Mildenberg is an open-air hacker camp and party that takes place every four years, organized by the Chaos Computer Club (CCC). Thousands of hackers, technology freaks, artists and utopians get together for five days in the Brandenburg summer – to communicate, learn, hack and party together.

We ask all assemblies to start dismantling their installations after the Closing Event at 18:15 on December 30th. Please use gates 2.5, 2.6, 3.8, 3.9 and 3.10 for unloading. We kindly ask you to first pack your stuff, move it to the gates and only then get your car.
