We’re delighted by the immense public interest in the diverse activities at Chaos Communication Camp in Mildenberg. All lectures will be remotely available via live-stream and download. This way, we include community members that are unable to attend. Of course, media representatives are welcome as well, as is the team shooting parts of a documentary on site.

There is a ten day payment duration. We know you(*), so we usually take this deadline fairly easy. These sessions of short presentations are a great way to catch an overview of the amazing things your fellow campgoers are doing. As previously mentioned in the last blog post related to the topic, the power is unfortunately limited and each kWh is very expensive and not really environment friendly.

Our goal is to provide a basic supply for everyone present. The basic supply means: laptop power adapter, cell phone and DECT chargers.

Our generators produce about 1.8 megawatts. The above-mentioned basic supply is about 0.9 megawatts. We have to add power consumption of infrastructure, lighting, workshop tents, lecture halls, restaurants and other stuff. So there is actually not a lot of room for unexpected loads.

Sie hat viele Jahre mit uns geengelt, egal ob es der T-Shirt-Verkauf oder zuletzt der Dreh des Videos „Howto Kassenengel“ war. Sie war immer mit dabei, egal ob auf dem Congress, Easterhegg, Camp, den MRMCD oder den Fielddays der Chaoswelle.

As we all know, the cost of large-scale endeavors is hard to predict. Sometimes, more costs come up unexpectedly. When we started the ticket sale, we presented you with an estimate of the costs at that time. Divide that by the maximum number of participants and you get an average ticket price we had to meet to cover those costs. Those costs were already calculated conservatively, but reality beat us to it (one of the reasons is that we are going to have to produce all the electricity ourselves, another is water).
