Nach langer Suche haben wir einen Exoplanet mit habitabler Zone entdeckt. Erste Messungen lassen auf eine hohe Viruslast schließen. Eine bemannte Mission ist daher nicht durchführbar. Unser erstes Raumschiff ist zur Datenaufnahme unterwegs. Es werden noch weitere Raumschiffe mit Modulen für eine Bodenstation und Erkundungsrobotern folgen. Wie in den vergangenen Jahren findet auch dieses Jahr wieder die RGB2R vom 31. Oktober (Donnerstag) bis 3. November (Sonntag) in Heidelberg statt, veranstaltet vom NoName e.V. (Chaostreff Heidelberg).

Die RGB2R ist eine Retro-Gaming- und -Computing-Veranstaltung. Jeder bringt Konsolen, DOS-PCs, Commodore, Atari, Amiga, etc. aus dem letzten Jahrhundert mit und verbringt die Tage in netter Gesellschaft sowie mit viel Spaß und Erinnerungen an die Spiele der vergangenen Jahre und Jahrzehnte.

Wer bei einem Patch an eine neue verbesserte Software-Version denkt, der hat natürlich recht. Aber was heißt Patch eigentlich noch? Im Englischen versteht man darunter auch ein Pflaster, ein Fetzen oder einen Flicken.
Mit Software verbinden wir Patches nur weil in der Computer Steinzeit Daten auf Loch- und später dann auch Magnetstreifen abgelegt wurden. Wenn jetzt etwas geändert werden soll dann müsste man einen Teil des Streifens herausschneiden und einen neuen einkleben – mit einem Fetzen Klebeband wurde das Band also geflickt.
