Mostly Harmless is the first big event by Magrathea Laboratories.
Overview
Mostly Harmless – MHL in short – is a weekend for everyone that likes to try stuff, create, discuss or wants to make new things together. In 2026 our slogan is “Follständig Harmlos – experimentieren, diskutieren und hacken“, which translates to something like “Mostly Harmless – experimenting, discussions and hacking“ with a deliberate typo in the first word.
“Follständig“ connects the “Mostly Harmless“ theme from Douglas Adams’ Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, with a regional Carnival greeting, “Fölsch foll“. The event venue is in Hünfeld, the Konrad Zuse city (where Zuse lived for most of his life) – a fitting place for a weekend between tech, creativity, and new ideas.
Whether you’re linked to a hackspace, IT, culture, or maker scene, or simply curious: At MHL we want to get together to learn and build while discovering new perspectives.
