The Chaos Communication Camp 2015 approaches with giant steps! Whelp, it’s high time for a round of basic information, so you can plan your journey accordingly.

It’s getting June, and August is coming fast. If you are not already totally into the planning of your village, we recommend to invite for planning meetings right now! We need your final numbers, ideas and plans in two weeks already!

Please note that we made some changes to the first version, so please re-check your entries! One important change is an unlucky wording: There is not the option of having „public“ bars or kitchen as in „you can sell things to the public“. With that question we tried to find out if you are providing space at your village …

For this years MRMCD we’re looking again for interesting contributions. Topics usually present on the MRMCD are for example Open Source projects, Cryptography, Social Networks, embedded systems, programming languages, privacy and anonymity and the resulting social questions.

According to this year’s topic we’re especially looking forward for topics on the interface of body and technology, let it be research or development under the keyword Self Quan­tiza­t­i­on or interesting technologies from the field of sports and competition.

IT-Security und Hacken ist zum Wettkampf geworden. Wie beim Sport stürzen sich die Medien auf immer neue “Bestleistungen”. Sicherheitslücken müssen heutzutage mindestens “Millionen von Rechnern” betreffen, um für die Presse interessant und damit “wertvoll” zu sein. Gleichzeitig liefern sich vor allem große Softwarehersteller einen Wettkampf um den schlechtesten Support und die blödesten Ausreden im Schadensfall.

The Chaos Communication Camp in Mildenberg is an open-air hacker camp and party that takes place every four years, organized by the Chaos Computer Club (CCC). Thousands of hackers, technology freaks, artists and utopians get together in a field for five days in the Brandenburg high summer – to communicate, learn, hack on things and party together.

We focus on topics such as information technology, digital security, hacking, crafting, making and breaking, and we engage in creative, sceptical discourse on the interaction between technology and society.

From the 7th to the 10th of May in 2015, the Leipzig hackerspace sublab e.V. will open its doors in the Westwerk for CryptoCon15[1]. This annual event will take place for the third time.
