39C3 — did someone say halfnarp?

tl;dr: halfnarp.events.ccc.de

In eager anticipation of 39C3, the dozens of curators in our six content teams have been working hard over the past few weeks: they have sent out invitations, evaluated submissions, written letters, researched, compared, created and discarded common themes, refined and tied up their loose ends, sorted, evaluated, and discussed submissions. Finally, they were able to distill the 763 submitted and invited talk proposals down to 164 and put together a plan that we are all convinced will provide us with an informative, entertaining, and memorable program on stage.

But now it’s your turn: In two weeks, we want to build a complete program from the still unsorted list of talks, and we need your help again! Since most of the speakers have now confirmed their talks, you can help us draw up a schedule for the days and rooms that will allow as many of you as possible to experience the talks live in the halls with many like-minded people – without having to choose between two or more that interest you.

To do this, simply jump into the 39C3 halfnarp, get an idea of what’s on offer, select the talks that interest you, and click “Submit.” We will then combine your list of preferences with those of everyone else, do a little math, and will get warnings if we were to schedule two or more talks at the same time that too many of you want to see.

Later, you can even import your list into Hub, your calendar, or the apps. The clusters you form will be used by the media.ccc.de team to show suggestions for further viewing, and you can rightly claim to have been an important part of the schedule selection.
