You don’t know what the Camp will be like?

The Camp is an event that words can’t really describe. I can write about hackers from all over the world camping on an old military airport with power and ethernet in every tent.

But can you imagine it? Things like nerds barely awake taking a shower under a fire hose, some hundred of them sitting in a big hall hacking at their computers all night long, a rocket named Fairydust illuminated with a great light installation, nerds cooking lunch on a camping stove, switches put in (empty) porta potties wrapped in silver foil to protect them from dust, heat and interested hackers, hacker kids learning to pick locks and shooting water rockets to the sky and lots of other things happening when more than a thousand bright and geeky persons come together in the sun.

Have a look at the wiki page about the [Communication Camp 2003][5] to learn more about its atmosphere and the people who come there. There are some [photos][6] and links to [documentation videos][7] about the last Chaos Communication Camp. The videos are really worth to look at – nothing else gives a better idea what this is all about.
