The core defining principles of our cluster are the realisation that the climate crisis we are facing is human-made, and that we need large-scale systemic change in our economies and societies to limit its impact as fast as possible. |

about:future is a cluster with a focus on sustainability and social-ecological transformation. We are a union of initiatives and non-profits who advocate for political change and develop solutions for a sustainable and fair society. The core defining principles of our cluster are the realisation that the climate crisis we are facing is human-made, and that we need large-scale systemic change in our economies and societies to limit its impact as fast as possible.
We invite you to visit our cosy village square where we grow together, bond ties, learn from each other and dream the dream of a sustainable, greener future! On-site, we provide space for individual info booths and assemblies for our members. Our member organisations are non-profit, accept the Contributor Covenant and focus their work on political change.
This is the first time about:future is present at congress at the side of our friends from about:freedom, who struggle for digital freedom. At this year's camp we came together for the first time. Together we like to find out what role sustainability plays for stable tech communities, what role plays digital sustainability in preserving our planet and where to go for a digital society to be peaceful, sustainable and free. At 36C3 we join forces again as neighbouring clusters and demand “Freedom for Future”!

We put together a list of relevant events/talks/workshops on Assembly:About:future/Fahrplan. This includes the main stages, the other stages, and self-organized sessions. This is provided on a best effort basis: we cannot guarantee to update this list for every change in date, time, location of the upstream sources.
Wir haben einen Fahrplan Nachhaltigkeit zusammengestell. Dieser beinhaltet relevante Veranstaltungen/Vorträge/Workshops der Hauptbühnen, Nebenbühnen und Self-Organized Sessions. Wir können nicht garantieren, dass wir diese Liste bei jeder Änderung an der Quelle aktualisieren.
about:space
We are a safe space and respect each other, no matter the dispute at stake. Concretely, we adhere to the Contributor Covenant Code of Conduct. We have shifts of volunteers who do help keep our space clean and safe. If you encounter a problem, please get in contact with the respective shift. From 12-24 you can call our DECT-Number at XYZ (if this number has not been updated, try the page of our parent cluster).
