Why should I be studying for a future that soon may be no more, when no one is doing anything to save that future? And what is the point of learning facts when the most important facts clearly mean nothing to our society?

Wir sind eine Bewegung von jungen Menschen, die aus eigenem Interesse heraus die Aktion Fridays for Future in Deutschland umsetzen und verbreiten. Dabei sind wir keineswegs an Parteien oder andere Organisationen gebunden. Der Klimawandel ist keine Situation, die vielleicht in vielen Jahren erst ernst werden könnte, sondern betrifft uns alle, weltweit, bereits seit einiger Zeit und ist schon lange eine reale Bedrohung für die Erde und für die Menschheit. Die Treibhausgas-Emissionen steigen bereits lange Zeit und dennoch werden Kohle, Öl und Gas abgebaut. Doch unsere Politiker*innen unternehmen nichts, um diese Klimakrise abzuwenden.
