The workshop is about Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP) models, what they are and how to run them. Please bring your own Laptops (VirtualBox-images are distributed at WRF tutorial homepage, so please have VirtualBox installed and the image prepared) if you'd like to install and run the software! We start with some general background about NWP-related topics and then dive into WRF, one of the most popular NWP models. We cover data pre-processing, running the model and post-processing including basic visualization of the results. The objective is to provide all the data and information necessary to perform a complete model run.
