The workshop is about Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP) models, what they are and how to run them. Please bring your own Laptops (VirtualBox-images are distributed at WRF tutorial homepage, so please have VirtualBox installed and the image prepared) to participate! We start with some general background about NWP-related topics and then dive into WRF, one of the most popular NWP models. We cover data pre-processing, running the model and post-processing including basic visualization of the results. The objective is to provide all the data and information necessary to perform a complete model run.
