We are members from the Electrolab Hackerspace. We enjoy French cuisine and Electronics ;)

Electrolab

The Electrolab hacker-space is located in Nanterre near Paris. This quite new hacker-space have been under construction for the last year... Everything has been built from scratch, including walls, floors, electricity, water pipes etc... but it is now becoming functional and we are now starting some cool projects !

The internal organization of the 180 square meter building allows us to work on a lot of different fields including electronics, mechanics, robotics biology an chemistry.

We are also very interested in Electric mobility and we are often working on electric vehicles such as cars, bikes or even self balancing units, providing a lot of fun to our members :)

Some of our citizens will come from other french organization such as TuxFamily or The /tmp/lab or Tetalab

Tetalab

Tetalab is a hackerspace since summer 2009, located in Toulouse, South France.

We're hosted at Mixart Myrys, a artist collective born in a squat in 1995.

At Tetalab, we've already hosted 2 hackerspace festivals, information about last one can still be found on THSF Website

LOG

LOG is a hackerspace since summer 2010, located in Grenoble, Center France.

We're hosted at Logre.

At LOG, we've already organized FPGA and Arduino workshop, and built a Cupcake CNC for a scientific museum.

Infrastructure

We will bring a big central tent (12m x 5m x 2m) that will host our mobile hackerspace.

Flow

9th, 8:00

Woops, the wind is currently DDoSing our home made barnum, storm is planned for the afternoon, we need to fix it before it collapse.

9th, 16:00

There, wind DDoS attack armor IDS has been added, waiting for events and ready to deal with it.

10th, 2:00

First r0ket hack, one of our member (crafty) replaced the two green bottom LEDs by blue ones.

10th, 17:00

Well, trying to solder SMD components at a camp is not so easy. But this is a required step to fix the voltage boost PCB of our hacked electric scooter.

10th, 19:00

As you might have heard, we just installed our compression chamber speaker in front of our tent.

10th, 19:35

Yes, we had to play nyan cat on it :-)

11st, 16:00

Yes, we are an embassy... obviously all embassy have stamps... except our. So we managed to build a stamp from a potato. The ink come from saturated coffee.

Yes, there is a mirror issue, we failed at thinking before that the stamp needs to be mirrored. Let's say it's a voluntary style effect.

11st, 18:00

Just a new very simple r0ket patch, using LEDs, no more.

12nd, 2:00

It seems that the r0ket hardware is kind of badly designed, actually any module that consume more of a few mA on VCC_EXP will prevent the uC to boot, probably due to EMC issues. Looking closely at the PCB and schematics will show you that all decoupling capacitors are missing at least, this is quite strange that the r0ket even starts in normal conditions.

So, here is the r0ket killer. Just put a resistor from VCC_EXP to GND and the r0ket is not going to start. Here is a 270 Ohms one, which flows about 15 mA when the battery is full. It should also work with higher resistor values.
