Details only on public key crypto cards (i.e. not javaCards, GSM Cards, or simple payment cards etc.).

Using (public key crypto) smart cards with linux and *BSD: how to format cards, generate keys, use them with opensshs, login via smart card (pam module), use them for email signing and decryption (mozilla, maybe others), use smart cards with openssl, ipsec vpn (freeswan) with smart cards.
