Ticket-Vorverkauf für den 29. Chaos Communication Congress
Saturday, November 3rd, 2012Der Vorverkauf der Eintrittskarten für den 29. Chaos Communication Congress 29C3, der dieses Jahr in Hamburg stattfindet, beginnt heute.

Der diesjährige Congress steht unter dem Motto “Not my department” und wird sich mit den Konsequenzen nicht nur des eigenen Forschungsdrangs auseinandersetzen – von Überwachungssystemen, Drohnen- und Schwarmintelligenzsteuerung bis zu Biohacking. [1] Gleichzeitig geht es um das Streben der Hackerszene danach, Technologien und gesellschaftliche Abläufe zu erforschen und neu zusammenzusetzen, die auf den ersten Blick auch in die Kategorie “not our department” fallen.
Da die Veranstaltung auf vielfachen Wunsch in ein neues, größeres Gebäude in Hamburg umziehen wird, sind leider auch die Kosten deutlich gestiegen. Um jedoch dem traditionellen Anspruch des Chaos Computer Clubs (CCC) gerecht zu werden, alle Besucher ohne Geldbeutel-Diskriminierung willkommen zu heißen, gibt es diesmal eine freiwillige Preisstaffelung vom nicht-kostendeckenden Standard-Ticket für 80 Euro über Unterstützer-Tickets für 100 und 120 Euro bis zum Business-Ticket für 350 Euro. Besucher sind aufgerufen, sich verantwortlich entsprechend ihrer Zahlungsfähigkeit für einen Ticketpreis zu entscheiden. Im Vorverkauf gibt es nun zudem die Möglichkeit, T-Shirts und sonstige Textilien im 29C3-Design vorzubestellen.
Der Congress bietet dieses Jahr ein spannendes und wie immer hochkarätiges Programm mit über neunzig Vorträgen, die aus mehreren hundert Einreichungen ausgewählt werden. Neu auf diesem Congress sind die Assemblies, die – ähnlich den Villages auf den CCC-Camps – Raum für Gruppen und Projekte bieten, um während der gesamten Veranstaltung ihre Aktivitäten zu präsentieren und zusammen mit anderen Besuchern weiterzuentwickeln. [2] Das Vortragsprogramm wird veröffentlicht, sobald Ende November die erste Version des Fahrplans vorliegt.

29C3 – Tickets and Pricing

29C3 will cost us much more than standard tickets priced at 80 EUR will pay. Thus we’ll sell supporter tickets for 100 and 120 EUR. Please consider buying one of these. Help us minimize our losses and support others who can’t afford paying much more! Thanks a lot! :)

As we had a lot of people asking, here some answers:
Q: How much will the tickets cost?
A: Our priority is to keep the price for the tickets as low as in the years before. So we currently assume that it will be around 80 Euros — as it was last year.
Q: What if I can not afford that?
A: There will be a friend’s request address as we had it before. More details coming with the start of the presale.
Q: But what is this friend’s request?
A: At 28C3 we handled it like this. Have a look.
Q: Ah, there will be a presale for tickets?
A: Yes, there will be a presale to buy a ticket in advance.
Q: So I have to set up my presale scripts again?
A: No, the new venue in Hamburg should be really big enough to fit all of us. Your time will be better invested if you start thinking about what you and/or your project/hackerspace/group could do with all that space!
Q: Why do you always say “There will be…”?
A: Please have a look outside — it’s still summer, isn’t it? Nevertheless your congress team is already working hard to make the congress possible again. So please be patient. If you keep an eye on this blog you won’t miss any information on tickets and presale.
28C3 – Can’t Afford to Pay the Full Price?
Thursday, November 3rd, 2011Since we forgot to mention it in the first place: Yes, we do have a 28c3-friends request address for people who can’t afford to pay the full ticket price. We’ve added information to http://events.ccc.de/congress/2011/wiki/Tickets:
If you or someone you know can’t afford to pay the full price for a ticket, send a mail to 28c3-friends@cccv.de. Please tell us, why this person can’t pay the full price and why he or she should take part in 28C3 nevertheless. Usually we agree on some affordable price. But please keep in mind that tickets are already very cheap and that we can handle only a limited number of such requests. So, please think twice before sending us a mail to that address.
If you want to try your luck, you still need to get a ticket in the on-line ticket sales. Just choose any ticket type and tell us the user name. If we agree on some price, we’ll edit your order afterwards. If we don’t agree, you may just not pay within 2 weeks.

If you’ve ordered a Camp ticket in the online sales system and also payed it, you can download your ticket from https://presale.events.ccc.de now.
For those of you, who registered an email address we’ll additionally send the PDFs by mail.
Please print out your tickets and bring them to the Camp! You need them in order to get your wrist bands.
