Tesla Coils generate high frequency, high voltage electricity. Like all high voltage eletricity, it makes sparks, but unlike other HV, those stand on one end and are safe to touch. For a moment at least. The only satisfactory explaination is "magic".

I brought some very small, solid-state tesla coils for demonstration, and am happy to explain and discuss anything related to analog, high-frequency, high-power and high-voltage electronics.
