Description: Public key cryptography (= asymmetric encryption) is used widely e.g. when encrypting e-mail, surfing on https-secured websites or distributing SSH keys. We will give a short talk (approx. 30-45 minutes) explaining public key cryptography to beginners. We will go over several applications but spent a bit more time talking about e-mail encryption software PGP. If there's still time after the talk, we can help you set up PGP on your laptop or try to answer any related questions you may have.

Achtung: Our slides are in German as we will likely not have time to translate them in time! Talk will be in English if there are any non-German-speaking participants.
