Description We are the ISP for Stuttgart's Student Dorms with ~4500 users. We maintain a city wide 10G network based on Juniper devices, with 1G uplinks for our users and some WiFi-enabled dorms. We're proud of our homemade IPTV solution, multicasting most satellite TV channels into our network.

Planning notes Being networking nuts, we'd of course like to have a dedicated 1G switch, maybe even with a 10G uplink. We can provide the switch and the SFPs ourselves if we know what kind of fiber to expect and if you'll tell us in time.

For our neighbourhood we'd prefer to be seated with our related assemblies, the guys from AG DSN and StuStaNet. I think we have been merged at the last congress, and we (Selfnet, dunno about the others) wouldn't mind.

past congress review Last time was nice :)

Selfnet e.V. is a non-profit student association run entirely by volunteers. We supply students with a broadband network in the dormitories of Stuttgart and our primary goal is the transfer of knowledge.

Location: behind the big orange+black Selfnet banner at the right hackcenter exit (as seen from the entrance)
