Welcome to the Pyongyang Hackerspace! Dr. Jukka-Pekka Heikkila and Will Scott have been teaching management and computer science in North Korea since 2012. An emerging opportunity is helping local students create and brainstorm startups to improve quality of life. During this session, we will share our experiences in contemporary North Korea, and try to characterize the type of development opportunity available. Following the presentation of IT and business environments, we'll run a participatory workshop to brainstorm new startup models fostering productive engagement with North Korea. This workshop is relevant for people interested in business and computer science education in challenging environments.
