Classical anarchist theory is over 200 years old. However the anarchist ideas were know already in ancient times in Greek and Chinese societies. The idea of a society without state and hierarchy is going through the whole history of humankind. We tend to believe that there is no alternative to the way we organize in the society today. However there are a lot of different ideas out there, developed and used by different communities to get closer to a free society that is also based on solidarity. Anarchist ideas became a core of many uprisings in history. The best known are Paris Commune and Spanish Civil War against Franko, as well as the Makhnovshchina in Ukraine. Anarchism is essential part of the Internet community where freedom is the ultimate value of everything.
