Subtitle Second room so we can split up the group if necessary (was necessary at the 30C3, and having only one room was a VERY heavy handicap where half the participants ended up talking outside).

A gathering for all the queer feminist geek folk. We will use it mainly for networking, exchanging our projects and ideas, and talk about how to make things better in geek culture for us and others. Venting is fine but should not be our main focus; instead we want to bring people together and see how we can improve things. It would be optimal if a cool idea for something to do at the 31C3 (or a future congress) could be born here.

Guidelines:

  1. Check your privilege and be mindful of how you communicate. This is a place for the people who cannot speak as freely/as easily as most participants of the 31C3. As an example, if you have been socialized with the male gender, try to actively listen instead of speaking.
  2. Respect the chosen pronouns of the participants. If someone corrects you, don't make a big deal out of it but say sorry and just use the correct pronouns (or the participant name) in the future.
  3. If you do not self-identify as queer and feminist, you are allowed to attend but expected to **listen** instead of talking or asking questions that are answered in easily accessible resources such as the Geek Feminism Wiki. This is neither a place to ask people what they mean by basic terms such as "privilege" or "toxic masculinity", nor for discussing these terms. Educate yourself via the Wiki.
