Description Edgeryders is a not-for-profit organization and a community platform for collaboration between people and projects all over the globe. Edgeryders is designed to be "living tech", co-evolving with the community using it. Instead of developing it first and using it later, we started from a standard installation of a software called Commons, used it a bit, changed what was obviously not working, used it a bit more, changed it again and so forth.

Assembly specification 3. We need something special or in between those options: Please specify in the field planning notes.
Planning notes 1. We would like to abut fc-slash-eight, some of our members are also in that group.

2. We would like to be in the hackspace (I understand this is downstairs where most assemblies are) where the real human energy is! 3. We would like to be exposed to people traffic but the idea of being in the hackspace is to be exposed to slower moving traffic as opposed to people rushing from one session to the next. Also the ability to cross-pollinate with more nearby assemblies.

Things will not get better simply because we have the ability to revolt or tear down states, we have to build something better.

Edgeryders, initiator of the http://unmonastery.org/ project are reaching out to hackers around the world to look for answers to the tough questions of our time. Why in this super-technological age do we still have to work all week to live an ordinary lifestyle? Why is it that even as we imagine new systems, we always fall back on the old structures and behaviors for support? Can we ensure every human has their needs fulfilled and can live without hunger, fear or despair?

We believe that by bringing together idealists and hackers, visionaries and systems thinkers, we can begin specing out the blueprint for a better way to live. Better unMonastery? What about an unBusiness, unCity or even unState? We can do this.
