Link to Fahrplan
Someone with the right to do so should add a link to http://events.ccc.de/camp/2011/Fahrplan/track/Hacker%20Space%20Program/index.en.html to this page! -C3o 12:54, 14 July 2011 (CEST)
Seasteading
Did you guys have a look at http://seasteading.org ?
Cubesat / WLAN
I just want to point out, that 801.11 doesn't allow for communication over arbitrarily long distance, due to latency requirements. The usual operational mode allows for at most 10km; some 802.11 HW supports long distance mode (Atheros for example). Also 802.11 is uses CSMA/CD, which also conflicts with the idea of a W-LAN AP in orbit (the stations must be able to listen to the other stations so that the carrier sense collision detection works).
Ground station network
Hi, I JUST read this "Ground station network" and THAT is exactly what I plan for my BOINC platform AerospaceResearch.net/constellation only on a wider scale and I would really like to get in contact with you guys and girls from this network to bring your antenna system to BOINC and our platform. please contact me on my camp-wiki discussion page or via email constellation(-at-)aerospaceresearch.net. Unfortunately I'm not at the camp, but a friend of mine is I could refer to you ---horn- 17:03, 12 August 2011 (CEST)
