Have you ever tried to repair your laptop and fretted over having to swap whole modules? Have you ever tried to understand your operating system and given up after >10k lines of code? Are you tired of having to buy a new smartphone every four years? It wasn't always like this. We present old tech, some of it decades old, that still allows us to learn the basics. We not only keep it running but even develop new software and hardware extensions.
