https://foodsharing.de is a platform operated by a german NGO to coordinate people volunteering to save leftover food at supermarkets and alike entities. The web platform supporting this movement is a big PHP project started without much modern development processes in mind but slowly being refactored and cared for in the recent months. It is used by almost 50.000 people regularly and thus worth getting even more love.
This session is about introducing you to the project as well as the code base. If you are interested, feel free to come to our assembly at any time.
