Anki, https://apps.ankiweb.net/ is a Free software whose goal is to help you to memorize things. It is mostly used in order to learn foreign vocabulary, and first-year medicine stuff. Personally, it helped me finally learn:
- classical guitar music by heart
- mathematics,
- the line of codes I had to google every time, (thus, I know win 20 secondes each time I need to use them)
- faces and name of people (being able to call your colleage by their name change your life!)
I intend, in 50 minutes, to explain you the theory behind anki. Then give a few example of how to use it, with a few trick to learn programming language. I'll also have time for questions. Please bring your computer, as I want you to create your first notes with me. This workshop is intended for beginner. Please let me know if you want an advanced session too.
Anki has a huge add-on community. I'll also cover this. And i'll speak of some add-on project I'm working on currently.
