Demarchy - also called Sortition, "Losverfahren" or democracy by random selection - is an alternative approach to electing a representative body (parliament) by voting. It's rarely practiced nowadays (e.g. jury duty in the U.S.) but was the "original" form of democracy in ancient Athens.
What do you think about the idea? Would you want to spread and apply it? How and where? Also, unlike electronic voting systems, Demarchy can be built as a cryptographic system that is verifiable by citizens. What do you think?
This is not a presentation - it's an open discussion session to exchange and develop ideas!
