The Flashcat Project
| Description | ATTENTION: Unfortunately, this talk is canceled because the speakers did not get a ticket for 32C3
The Flashcat project aims to provide a 100% open-source flashing tool. It is meant as a support equipment for the libreboot project and will hopefully replace common tools like the BeagleBoneBlack, Raspberry Pi or Bus Pirate which rely on non-disclosed intellectual property. More generally, Flashcat is a step towards building a proper open-source toolchain -- an essential prerequisite for the development of trustworthy machinery in future. Kai & Tomás |

For those interested in hands-on, we offer a kind of hardware session afterwards on 28th or 29th nearby FSFE assembly, in the 'lounge'. During that session people may have a deeper look into the source code, may solder and test their own circuit-board or may buy a preflashed ThinkPad X200.
