The first hopefully annually screening of the wonderful film Shortbus (2006) by John Cameron Mitchell.
If you do not know what Shortbus is about - trailer link: http://youtu.be/H8A1dwEhSMY If you are worried about the pornographic material, it is used for comedic effect and the film is a prime example on how to use comic relief to show sexually explicit scenes and use them to enhance the story and characters instead of just arousing the audience. Watching the movie with just a group of friends has been tested thoroughly.
Since the movie contains explicit pornographic material it is only legal to show it to audiences 18 years and older in Germany. This is why IDs will be checked at admittance. Parent CANNOT vouch for offspring under the age limit. It would be really nice if this limit would be respected by everyone since the host will be held legally responsible for any trespassing.
Audio will most likely only be available in English. Unless someone can provide a setup to run the audio multi-language in sync with the visuals. Please reach out beforehand if you know how to do this.
There is half an hour scheduled for setting up everything (Blu-Ray player, HD beamer, sound system) and getting the viewers into the room. Since this is the first time please be patient if there are any issues with the setup.
