systems are fulfilled with usage of pre-existing Linux mechanisms, like LSM or DAC and new ones, like Cynara and Security Manager. You will have a chance to learn the security models implemented in some mobile devices, and get to know how well designed solution can provide security and privacy for whole system, relieving efforts of 3rd-party developers.

In times of common usage of "smart" devices, like smartphones, tablets, watches, TVs or even cars, security and privacy of information stored on them is gaining on importance. Moreover, it turns out, that solutions designed for desktops and servers cannot be directly adopted in mobile devices and new dedicated operating systems have been created.

I will discuss security challenges found in mobile devices and introduce you to new,open source operating system based on Linux kernel, a system where significant emphasis has been placed on protection of stored data.
