Description IPFS is a new hypermedia distribution protocol, addressed by content and identities. IPFS enables the creation of completely distributed applications and aims to make the web faster, safer, and more open. It does this by offering a peer-to-peer distributed file system that in some ways is similar to the web, but could also be seen as a single BitTorrent swarm that is exchanging objects within one Git repository.
