General Info

Experimenting and education are our main focus therefore workshops are key part of our activities at hacker events. Please note that at 32c3 we are not allowed by CCC orga to handle and hand out any food and drinks, therefore our workshops which comply with the requirements will happen at our assembly at CCH and the rest will be happening at the Centro Sociale which is a nearby location of around 23 min of walk.

You are welcome to join them on donation based scheme no one turned away for lack of funds, and/or give them. If you believe something should be on the list get in touch on the fhb discuss, IRC or with Bigmac for CCH assembly and (Algoldor for Centro Sociale and lets see how to make it happen. Workshops are donation based, costs below €50 are easy to cover, up to €100 doable on regular bases, if you have higher costs than that you will be not the first one, trust us, we have been there before and it worked out too but lets plan bit more cautiously in such case ... Workshops should be created as a Self organized sessions for easy coordination with 32c3 orga and putative participants.

It is up to you if you want to get the ingredients for the workshop by yourself first and get reimbursed during the event (that is very good for us), or we get you want you want and then it is covered from the workshops profit. The general guideline is that if you give workshop you should end up at least on €0 certainly not in minus. At the previous events you and your partner/friend are welcome to join our table for the day when you give your workshop if you like to do so. We use workshops to get resources for the fhb projects so if you give a workshop and you end up in plus, it is great if you share some of the profit with fhb, more better, generally 30-50% for fhb sounds great! :-)

If you like to give a workshop please get in touch in advance so we can plan at least few weeks before the 32c3, it would make things more easy. However we do workshops on the last minute bases too so ... If you are not confident about giving a workshop just get in touch or pop in, you can always experiment on an "unofficial" bases and see how it goes. Many times people just flock around.

The time slots proposed for the workshops at both fhb locations are here at our main assembly page together with other events.

Food&Drink Hacking Venue

Our food&drink hacking venue at Centro Sociale should be split into three sections, section one dedicated to the practical hands on workshops which will suit groups of 10-15 (20 max), section two which would be more for demos and tasting events big enough for 20-30 people to attend and section three which will be the experimental kitchen by itself. The time slots proposed for the workshops at fhb are here at our main assembly page together with other events, if you have some specific need or request please get in touch. The regular time slots should be around 1 to 2 hours, with cleaning and making the venue ready for next event included.

To get a better idea you can have a look at Kombucha is easy hands on workshop as a muster for creating your own workshop page, it is just one of the formats.
