Assembly specification want quiet place, want taking pictures banned, special requirements network
Planning notes In the past we always operated the GSM network at the CCC Events. It is yet unclear if we get a license again this year. Irrespective of whether we can provide this service to the event, we would like to keep the tradition of having our own private room (including keys to lock!) where the team can gather and collaboratively hack on the various associated projects. I understand this is privilege - but one we've always made good use of.

"Special requirement network" just refers to the fact that we'd again need our usual GSM VLAN in case we are permitted to operate the network.

past congress review We were always happy with the separate room we've been allocated. Still at the bcc in Berlin, but also at the CCCHH. No change required from the orga point of view!

The Osmocom project is developing Free Software for mobile communications since 2008. This includes cellular protocol stacks and network elements like OpenBSC, OsmoNITB, OsmoSGSN, OsmoBTS, OsmoPCU, but also projects for decoding TETRA, Satellite telephony decoding, DECT and other communicatiosn systems and standards.

The assembly is the traditional gathering of the Osmocom team members at the annual CCC congress.

We also usully run the private GSM network at CCC events.
