Location
Note: The location on the map does not represent a reservation of a location and might not represent the actual place, where a assembly can be found. The place can be changed within the form of the assembly by anyone. It will be updated by the assembly itself on day 0 or day 1 as soon as the actual location is known.

Brings - mobile, mil-spec 19" (10 HE) rack filled with servers.

- cabinet with separately lockable compartments for hard disks, wired up with our virtual machines.

Character of assembly place to show and meet
Seats needed 4
Extra seats 0
Assembly specification loud place ok, want taking pictures allowed, special requirements network
Planning notes The serves might get noisy and needs some space. Please plan 230V 2kW for power distribution and approx. 10x 1GBis/s Ethernet for us.

ADDITIONAL NOTE: Contacted the NOC. A location "under" or near by the CoLocation would be great, so they can run enough cables to our assembly.

past congress review At 31C3 first we had no power and network at our place. Suboptimal for a hosting service. ;) Then we were re-located, power and neigbourhood was great, but network was a bottleneck. Please take care of a good network connection this year. :) We offer virtual machines and had up to 30 running on our 4 servers. Most of them with a USB harddrive attached. All servers have multiple gigabit-interfaces. But unfortunately we were connected to a switch with one single gigabit-uplink which was the bottleneck by the NOC. We would highly appreciate ten 1-gigabit ports on a switch with 10 Gbit uplink this year. We promise high usage of the ports. ;)

What we do

You cannot bring your own machine to 32c3 but you want to have some fun on the network? No problem. We offer virtual machines (VMs) to everyone. You can even hook up your USB hard disk to your VM. For that we have a metal cabinet with separately lockable compartments, each one having a USB and a power socket.

We love the tor network. We run a 100 Mbit exit relay and encourage you to also do that. If you

  • want to run a tor relay, but don't know how to start
  • run a tor relay that does not use all the bandwidth you think it should
  • run a tor relay and like to meet other relay operators

we would like to meet you. Just pass by and say the secret passphrase "All your onions are belong to us!".

Hardware needed!

DHS cables

We want to extend our service. Currently we're looking for the following hardware (donated or sold to us):

  • USB 3.0 PCIe cards
  • USB 3.0 Hubs (active)
  • any kind of USB 3.0 cables
  • 24-48 Port GBit-switch with SFP, if possible
  • any kind of SFP modules
  • any kind of SAS and SATA harddrives
  • any kind of 19" servers with 4+ GB RAM
