Hacking the EU election! The upcoming European election is a huge opportunity to campaign for a positive agenda and to give the wider civil digital rights community a common point of reference for the next five years. It will also enable voters to take an active role in national and EU level discussions on issues of significance for citizenship and fundamental rights in the digital environment. During this workshop, we can discuss how we can put digital rights on the agenda of the candidates' election campaigns. And how can we raise awareness for the EU elections and get more people to vote?
EDRi's idea is to launch a project called "wepromise.eu" -- Candidates for the European election 2014 and citizens eligible to vote in this election would make a promise to each other via an online platform.
