A new initiative for networking academics and activists focused on such themes as digital rights, internet, social movements, resistance and cooperation. We've started from organizing a conference about the Polish Stop Acta Protest: http://rokpoacta.edu.pl/about/. We'd like to continue the reflection over the role the Net and the social media play in the organization of the community and the protests. We believe we are witnesses of a deep global social transformation in which the proliferation of the Internet played a significant role. We see risks and benefits of Internet so we are netosceptics and netoenthusiasts at the same time, trying not to fall into the trap of netocenstrism ;)
