Who we are?
We are playing with various radio equipment like GSM, HAM-Radio (Amateurfunk), DECT (only a little) and POCSAG (coming soon)
Also the chaos compatible radio amateur group of the DARC D23 and there associated CCC near minds of (chaoswelle.de), is again of the party.
Our projects
- OpenBSC - Free GSM (BSC/MSC/HLR) implementation for experimentation and research purpose
- OsmocomBB - The Free Software GSM Baseband software implementation
- OpenVers**** - To be announced
- RFID
- DVB-T
What we plan to do at the congress:
- We have the idea to show the other folks what we are playing with.
- provide a public shortwave & 144/430 MHz station (see below)
- operate the experimental 27C3 GSM network
HAM Radio Station
If you are a licensed HAM radio operator and would like to get on the air while at 27C3 just join us at the RadioRoom.
Our station consists of the following equipment:
- Kenwood TS-570D for 3-30 MHz
- ICOM IC-706 MKIIG for 144/430 MHz
- Antennas: Fritzel FD-4 Windom 3-30 MHz, Diamond SG-7900 vertical 144/430 MHz
- PC for SW digi modes
Also if you brought your own radio and want to hook up to our antenna for some on-air play or if you're just interested in low-tech comms - feel free to drop by.

Space needed / Who will come
- Dexter of CCCB (1 Table for my projects)

- at least 3 tables and 5 chairs for (chaoswelle.de) near of the tillable window
- for the installation of the shortwave and ultra high frequency antennas we need access to the roof top of the BCC (Fire exit on the C level near C04) and Haus des Lehrers (long line antenna) // done --Do5tmx 23:33, 26 December 2010 (CET)
- 4-5 tables + 8-10 chairs for the OpenBSC team running the 27C3 GSM network and for OsmocomBB folks
- some space for DVB-T, although the transmitter will be placed in the backoffice rooms
Note: Please register yourself because the congress-orga will calculate the space needed upon the Information listed here. If you do not list yourself here there might not be enough space for you! Sorry Folks!
