Chaos Mentors / Chaospat:innen
At Chaos Mentors, we connect experienced mentors with first-time visitors of Congress. Our goal is to make Congress more inclusive by supporting those who might not usually attend, including people with special needs.
Why are we doing this?
We’ve each enjoyed Congress for 1, 2, 10, or even 30 years, but we still remember how difficult the first step can be — many of us started as Chaos Mentees ourselves. Thoughts like, “Do I even belong at a big hacker conference?” are familiar. But rest assured, once you’re here, you’ll meet amazing people and discover a lot about yourself. More importantly, Congress thrives on the diversity of its attendees, and the community has much to learn from your unique perspective. That’s why we encourage those who might hesitate, especially those outside the majority demographic of cis, white, male participants, to join us.
Call for Mentors
This year, we’re once again looking for friendly, reliable mentors to guide newcomers. If you’re enthusiastic about helping others navigate their first Congress experience, please sign up to be a mentor.
Keep an eye out — we will post the registration link for first-time visitors and mentors on events.ccc.de shortly before Congress.
Your contribution helps make Congress a welcoming and diverse space. We deeply appreciate your commitment for our community!
