In August 2012 Cody Brocious released code that allowed unlocking of millions of electronic hotel locks without a valid keycard. In this workshop we will discuss the operation of hotel locks, and the flaw that allows some of these locks to be opened using a special circuit and code. There will be kits available for €20 but there is no requirement to purchase a kit to attend the event. This will be a repeat of last years workshop which was so popular people could not even get into the room. We recommend arriving early to guarantee a place and a kit. We will have a working hotel lock with us, and we will demonstrate the technique. If time allows we will go into the detail of the code and try to add additional features and options.
