We currently have about 70 submissions in our queue and there is definitely room for more. Some of the proposals for talks we received are very good and will probably make it into the final program of the Congress. However, some make us scratch our heads: With nothing more than a title and a name of a speaker entered, it’s rather tricky to decide if the submission is any good.

Der Chaos Computer Club Cologne e.V. veranstaltet dieses Jahr bereits zum sechsten Mal ein spannendes Projekt aus der Reihe “U23” für NachwuchshackerInnen unter 23 Jahren.

In diesem Jahr sollen die Jugendlichen ein Betriebssystem für einen Mikrocontroller entwickeln, mit dem man Leuchtdioden und Taster ansteuern kann und welches nachher mehrere nebenläufige Prozesse ermöglicht. The MetaRheinMain ChaosDays is an annual congress, this year with a focus on journalism, society and technology, organized by c3f2m Frankfurt, CCCmz (Mainz/Wiesbaden), the campus group Chaos Darmstadt, the AK Vorrat and other regional groups in the Rhein-Main-Neckar area. Beim Workshop-Wochenende des CCC, dem Easterhegg, ist einiges anders als beim Congress. Einerseits folgt hier nicht Vortrag auf Vortrag, so daß der Schwerpunkt auf Mitmachen und Gruppenarbeit liegt und auch Themen beackert werden, für die sonst vielleicht die Zeit fehlt. Andererseits besitzt die Veranstaltung etwas, was für alle, die dem weissen Kanninchen nach Köln folgen, sehr wichtig ist: ein gesteigertes Maß an Flauschigkeit.

Die Veranstaltung ist kleiner und familiärer. Für Besucherinnen und Besucher bedeutet das: Plätze sind begrenzt, Karten sollten möglichst im Vorverkauf erstanden …

Das Easterhegg ist das jährliche Familientreffen des Chaos Computer Clubs. Es findet vom 21. (Karfreitag) bis 24. März (Ostermontag) 2008 im Bürgerhaus Stollwerck in Köln statt.

Diese Veranstaltung ist als Workshopwochenende gedacht, deshalb liegt der Fokus auf praktischer und angewandter Wissensvermittlung zum Lernen und Mitmachen.
