RopeLabs

RopeLabs is a small, queer-friendly group of rope nerds building a respectful, low-pressure space to explore rope safely and openly. New to rope? Great. Years of experience? Also great. Bring curiosity; we’ll handle the rest.

What we do:

  • Beginner-friendly workshops: short intros to safety, consent, and a couple of versatile knots.
  • Open rope jams: drop in, practice, or just watch and chat.
  • Peer support: troubleshoot technique, ergonomics, and materials

Who it’s for:

  • The rope-curious, the completely new, and the “I like knots and diagrams” crowd.
  • Especially welcoming to queer and questioning folks, and anyone who wants a supportive learning vibe.

How to engage:

  • Come say hi between ties, ask for a host if you’re not sure where to start.
  • We have loaner ropes, no gear required.

House rules (please read):

  • Consent is explicit and ongoing. Opt-in only. Safewords/signals respected.
  • Clothing required at all times. Kinky or sexual play is not permitted at congress.
  • No photos/video without prior, explicit consent from everyone in the frame.
  • Don’t interrupt an active tie. Questions are welcome after the tie and a short decompression.
  • Educational, sober space: we focus on learning, safety, and respectful conduct

Curious but unsure? Perfect, come talk to us. We love good questions and better knots.
