History: Over 20 years ago, the "Chaostreffn Giessen (Chaosmeeting) was founded. People met in various venues, ate, drank, and talked about technology and the associated culture. Various landlords patiently accepted our laptops, cables, and other equipment, which we then spread out on the tables.

However, we wanted to be able to solder or leave experiments running for longer periods. This wasn't possible in a pub, so we founded MudByte e.V. with a hackspace in downtown Giessen.
