Mainframe
The Mainframe is Oldenburg's hackspace. We see ourselves as a meeting place for people who exchange ideas about technology and related topics and hack together. By hacking, we mean researching and exploring technical, social and political systems.
The necessary infrastructure is available on around 1200 square meters: A conference room for working and for lectures, a lounge including a VR setup, a wood and metal workshop, an electronics workshop, textile workshop and a kitchen for self-catering. There is also a scanning electron microscope and a few other small rooms.
On average, we are open daily from 19:00 at the latest (often earlier), visitors, especially from other hackspaces, are always welcome.
