My work deals with methods for gravity field determination from satellite missions, an area of satellite geodesy. The design of future missions using novel sensors, e.g. quantum sensors, and concepts to improve the resulting gravity field products is a major focus of the work.

I am currently working as a researcher at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) on methods to improve the determination of the Earth's gravity field. In this area, quantum technologies promise advances in instrumentation for terrestrial and satellite applications. This will allow, for example, a better description of the consequences of climate change or the prediction of events such as floods and droughts. I look at these technologies from the point of view of the user for tasks in geodesy. Also, I drop things to see if gravity is still working.
