Angestöpselt – Verein für Digitalkompetenz e.V. makes sure that digital participation doesn’t depend on how much money you have. We collect decommissioned but still functional computers, refurbish them and pass them on to people who cannot afford their own access to the digital world – for example recipients of social benefits, refugees, senior citizens or other non-profit organisations. In doing so, we combine social justice with resource conservation, save hardware from electronic waste and make it usable for the people who really need it.
