After failed OZG efforts, register modernization is just around the corner. And the EU also has a lot planned with the so-called once-only principle (retrieval of evidence from third-party authorities instead of provision of evidence by applicants in accordance with the Single Digital Gateway Regulation), the digital EU wallet (identity verification & provision of proof via app, in short: EUDI wallet in accordance with eIDAS Regulation 2.0) & the Interoperable Services Act.
