Several years ago CCC moved from Hamburg to Leipzig which lays in Saxony. This was a move that would allow more space for participation in the congress for all of us. However Saxony is one of the most conservatives federal lands of Germany (in 2015 it became the first land to get AFD elected into local parliament). The laws in Germany allows for each federal state to execute control over their police forces as well as create laws that would regulate activity of those forces. Since last federal elections police all around the country have started moving in direction of updating regional laws to allow them to use all the toys of the toys on the market as well as exercise repressions against political opposition.
In this talk we will talk to you in details about the planned police law in the federal state where CCC is taking place and what might be implications for the congress if this law is passed.
We are part of campaign Sachsens-Demokratie that tries to stand up against authoritarian developments in Saxony and in Germany.
